The most prestigious inter-school Declamation Contest was organised by the Embassy of Pakistan in the Chancellery Hall, Riyadh. The declamation was ‘Human Rights Violations in Kashmir and Palestine’. A total of six Pakistan International Schools operating under the umbrella of the Pakistan Embassy kingdom-wide participated in the event. Neha Arif of 1st Year, bagged the 1st prize and made us proud. The aim was to show solidarity to our Muslim brothers of Kashmir and Palestine and give impetus to their struggle.
All twelve young representatives of their prestigious schools spoke vehemently on the issues displaying a deep understanding of the topic and came up with ample research on real-life examples of torture, brutality, arsenal and gross human rights violations. The three judges: Dr. Tooba, Mr. E. Waqar Abbasi and Mr. Nisar Ali faced a tough time as it was a very intense neck-to-neck competition.
Talking about the event, his excellency Hasham Bin Saddique said the competition was held as part of an initiative to bring about awareness among our young generation in order to highlight the issues, violations, and atrocities our Muslim brethren are suffering in their own homelands inflicted by the occupiers. All participants were felicitated by the ambassador with certificates of participation, cash prize of SR 500 and winners were awarded shields. Click HERE for Photos of the event.

Pakistan’s Independence Day is celebrated on August 14 and commemorates the day Pakistan was declared a sovereign nation after the end of the British Raj.
This was a result of the Pakistan Movement, which had pushed for an independent Muslim state to the north-west of India.
The Indian Independence Act was brought about in 1947, which saw the British Raj grant independence to the Dominion of Pakistan (modern-day Pakistan) and East Pakistan (Bangladesh). The British Raj was the British run system of governance in India - which lasted from 1858 to 1947. Pakistan's independence was campaigned for by the All-India Muslim League under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Pakistan’s Independence Day is celebrated with special prayers in mosques - centered around peace and security of the country.
PISJ also celebrated Independence day whole heartedly with lots of prayers and passion.
